A gift from a friend, a set of champagne glasses that were encased with a delicate copper overlay, which I used in other projects. I kept the copper stem to use as a base to support this sculptural shrine. A box that I have applied many layers of paint, ink, decoupage text from old books and my drawings, just to name a few. Inside the glass windowed box is a black bird that soars above a dainty red nest that I created from wire. Inside are two precious eggs. This charming shrine honors the delicate beauty and lustre of nature. A nod to fertility and birth. I hope this shrine will find a place in the home a very deserving person.
